return and recover
It's been a while. I got back from sydney on the weekend, and have had lots of emails and stuff to catch up on. I stayed a week, to install my show, go to the opening and whatever. It wasn't strictly necessary to stay in Sydney, as it is under two hours on the train from where I live. But i'm very pleased I did stay up there, as it was very hard work! I'm still recovering. Actually maybe it was necessary.
I'm very pleased with it and the way it all went, and very relieved that it all went to plan. I will write more about it very soon. For now I am recovering. And catching up on emails. These are some photos of the show. I've got a whole lot more, but they can wait.

Oh Jade, the show looks so beautiful! Your sculptures are like strange life-forms - those you hung up on or in front of the wall seem like something dragged from pre-historic mud, mysterious, shape-shifting. And I feel like the ones standing on the floor are only mid-growth and might evolve while I'm looking at them. Wished I could see the show directly and hover over and inspect each and every single piece of work. Wow. Hope you'll recover well and bask in the sunshine of your glory!
Your show, and your work, is so intriguing. Wish I could see them up close. Well done you!
Congratulations Jade! The show looks fantastic. Your work is so enchanting, I too wish I could see them in person.
I wish I could go and see your work live :)
hey jade,
they look fantastic! would have loved to have made the opening, ended up having quite a crazy weekend camping in the snow... hopefully can sneak a peek while still on.

the show looks phenomenal!
i think i've said before that i wished i lived near so i could be your show slave and help set up, i'd love that. paper gimp, that's me!
Dear Jade, Just wondering how you are. Hope you're recovering alright and that the show went really well for you and will maybe lead to other good things.
Thank you all very much!
Ben - camping in the snow is an interesting experience; one time it snowed when i was camping with my family, i think i was 9 or 10. It is something you do not forget (especially if your tent caves in =). You have a good story to tell i am sure! Hope you are not frostbitten...
I wish you were my show slave too, Cally, I need one! You are very sweet.
Thanks Marjojo, it did go really well. I'm afraid i recovered from that and then had some other, not so interesting (to say the least) stuff to do, and then some other stuff which is interesting to do now. Thanks for asking, very sweet of you! I have lots of catching up on blogs and things like that to do when i get back in a couple of weeks.
